Servcorp, international provider of serviced offices and business solution, proudly co-sponsored the 2013 ‘Gulf Business Industry Awards'. This event was created and inaugurated last year by Gulf Business— a corporate magazine for the region's top industry and government executives. Held in The Oberoi hotel on the 23rd of September 2013, GBI honored 9 economic sectors among which were technology, aviation, energy, real estate, education and tourism. The event also featured a number of special awards for innovators, entrepreneurs, businesswomen as well as a special CSR award and the highlight of the evening, the Lifetime Achievement Award.
An exciting, interactive element was added this year, the “Company of the Year” category which was awarded to Emirates. Readers of the Gulf Business publication were invited to vote from a shortlisted selection of the top 10 companies to select the winner.
A panel of industry experts including Ibrahim Al Ansari, CEO of Dubai First; Husam Hourani, managing partner at Al Tamimi; Y. S Shashidhar, managing director of Frost and Sullivan MENA; and Peter Cooper, editor of the ArabianMoney website; and Alicia Buller, editor of Gulf Business collaborated to select the winners based on innovation, growth, exploration of new markets, quality of product, service excellence and sense of corporate social responsibility. Each sector received two awards, one to recognize the company of the year and the second to honor the most accomplished CEO in that industry.
It is with awareness and respect for the power and potential of such ventures that Servcorp proudly puts forward its global business technology network as a platform to incentivize and open up corporate possibilities for new companies. Servcorp's business solutions are designed to help managers and entrepreneurs focus on running their business.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Laudy Lahdo, Servcorp's General Manager for the Middle East, said “Servcorp is delighted to have played a role in the 2013 Gulf Business Industry awards, an event dedicated to honor the regional business leaders for their innovation and excellence.”
As pioneers in the IT and business solutions industry and a corporation committed to the concepts of success and giving back to the community, Lahdo commented “The GBI awards reflect Servcorp's strategy and commitment to supporting businesses in the Middle East through our benchmark IT and communications infrastructure, 5 star facilities and professional support team.
